Dr. J.B. Alexander's Medical Ledger 1855-1871

This transcription of Dr. John B. Alexander's medical ledger details the dates of his visits and the medications and their costs that he prescribed to his patients from 1855 to 1871. His well-known practice north of Charlotte included both whites and blacks. The transcriber has appended a list of the uses for the medicines prescribed.
